Safety Information

• Read and follow Nintendo's health and safety information before using the console. Adults should supervise use by children.
• Keep the console, accessories and packaging materials away from young children and pets. Small parts such as game cards and microSD Express cards may present a swallowing hazard.
• Some people may experience seizures or loss of awareness when exposed to flashing lights or patterns. Play in a well-lit room, avoid playing when tired and take a break of 10–15 minutes at least once every hour.
• Stop playing if you experience eye strain, dizziness, nausea, fatigue, pain, tingling, numbness, burning, stiffness or other discomfort. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist.
• The console and accessories contain magnets and use wireless communication. Keep them at least 15 cm away from cardiac pacemakers and other implanted medical devices. Consult a doctor before use if you have an implanted medical device.
• Avoid prolonged listening through headphones at high volume to reduce the risk of hearing damage.
• Use the console only within the recommended operating temperature range of 5°C to 35°C.
• Do not use or store the console in humid, dusty or smoky environments. If condensation forms, switch the console off and allow it to dry completely before use.
• Do not cover the air intakes or ventilation openings on the console or dock, as restricted airflow may cause overheating.
• Do not expose the console, controllers, dock or AC adapter to liquids, fire, microwaves, direct sunlight or extremely high or low temperatures.
• Do not handle the console, connectors or AC adapter with wet or oily hands.
• Do not touch the AC adapter or connected equipment during a thunderstorm.
• Do not disassemble, modify or attempt to repair the console, controllers or AC adapter.
• If you notice unusual noise, smoke, odour, visible damage or leaking fluid, stop using the product, disconnect the AC adapter, switch the console off and contact Nintendo Customer Support.
• When using detached Joy-Con 2 controllers, attach and use the wrist straps when instructed and maintain a secure grip on the controllers.

Battery Information

• The Nintendo Switch 2 console contains a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery.
• Joy-Con 2 (L) and Joy-Con 2 (R) each contain a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery.
• Do not attempt to remove or replace the built-in batteries yourself. Battery removal or replacement must be carried out by a qualified professional.
• Charge the console using the Nintendo Switch 2 AC adapter (NGN-01) or a compatible power adapter meeting Nintendo's requirements.
• Joy-Con 2 controllers may be charged while attached to a charging Nintendo Switch 2 console or by using an approved Joy-Con 2 charging accessory.
• Charge the built-in batteries at least once every six months during prolonged periods of non-use.

Lithium Battery Warning

• Stop using the product immediately if a battery is leaking.
• If battery fluid comes into contact with the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice.
• If battery fluid contacts the skin or hands, wash the affected area thoroughly with water.
• Do not expose the console or controllers to fire, microwaves, direct sunlight or extremely high temperatures.
• Do not dismantle, modify or attempt to replace the lithium-ion batteries yourself.
• Do not continue using the product if battery leakage, swelling, overheating or other abnormal behaviour is suspected.

Disposal & Recycling

Do not dispose of the Nintendo Switch 2 console, Joy-Con 2 controllers, built-in batteries or other electrical components with general household waste. Take the equipment to an appropriate electrical and electronic equipment collection or recycling facility, or use an applicable retailer take-back service.

Built-in batteries must be removed by a qualified professional before battery recycling or disposal where removal is required.

WEEE Information

The Nintendo Switch 2 console, dock, controllers and electrical accessories are electrical and electronic equipment and require separate collection at the end of their useful life. Do not dispose of them with unsorted household waste. Use an appropriate WEEE collection, recycling or retailer take-back service in accordance with applicable local requirements.
