Safety Information

• Read and follow the manufacturer's instructions before using the Litter-Robot 4.
• Cats or kittens must weigh at least 1.36 kg (3 lb) to safely use the Litter-Robot in Automatic Mode.
• Always place the unit on a firm, level surface. Soft, uneven or unstable flooring may interfere with the cat-detection and weight-sensing systems.
• Do not place mats partially underneath the unit. If a mat is used, place it completely in front of or completely underneath the Litter-Robot.
• Always unplug the unit before servicing, cleaning or maintenance.
• Never force a cat into the Litter-Robot.
• Use only compatible clumping litter or litter beads and crystals small enough to pass through the screen.
• Do not sit on, stand on or place objects on top of the Litter-Robot.
• Do not push the unit directly against a wall or into a corner, as this may affect weight measurements.
• Never wet or submerge the Bonnet or Base.
• Children and persons requiring assistance must only use, clean or maintain the appliance with appropriate supervision and instruction.
• Children under 8 years of age should not have contact with the appliance.
• Do not allow children or pets to play with the appliance.
• Use only the external power supply supplied or approved by Whisker.
• Do not use the appliance if the power supply or cable is damaged. Contact Whisker for an appropriate replacement.
• Do not modify the Litter-Robot hardware or defeat its safety systems.

Automatic Cycle & Sensor Safety

• The Litter-Robot uses optical and weight sensors to detect a cat approaching or entering the unit.
• If a cat is detected during a cleaning cycle, the globe stops automatically and will not resume until the cat is no longer detected.
• Do not obstruct, cover, disable or modify the cat-detection, anti-pinch or motion sensors.
• Do not operate the unit without the Bonnet correctly installed.
• If the globe jams, repeatedly stops or displays a safety error, stop using the unit and follow the manufacturer's troubleshooting instructions.

Laser Safety

The Litter-Robot 4 incorporates a Class 1 laser product as part of its sensing system. Do not dismantle, modify or attempt to repair the optical or laser sensing components. Servicing should be carried out only in accordance with Whisker's instructions.

Cleaning & Maintenance Safety

• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning or maintenance.
• Do not wet or submerge the Base, Bonnet, power supply or electrical components.
• Clean removable components only as instructed by Whisker and ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembly.
• Keep the sensors and surrounding areas free from excessive litter, dust and debris to maintain correct operation.
• Do not use unauthorised replacement parts or accessories that could interfere with the appliance's safety systems.

Disposal & Recycling

Do not dispose of this electrical appliance with general household waste. At the end of its useful life, take the Litter-Robot and its electrical accessories to an appropriate electrical and electronic equipment collection or recycling facility, or use an applicable retailer take-back service.
