Safety Information

• Read and follow the manufacturer's instructions before installing or using the Microchip Pet Door.
• This product is intended for use by domestic pets only.
• Do not use the product if any parts are missing, damaged or worn.
• The pet door is not a toy. Do not allow children to play with the product.
• Keep loose components and packaging materials away from young children and pets due to the risk of choking.
• In households with young children, include the pet door in appropriate childproofing measures and supervise young children when they are near the product.
• Use only Sure Petcare-approved accessories and replacement parts.
• Clean the unit using pet-friendly cleaning products and a damp cloth only. Do not immerse the pet door in water.
• Keep the tunnel, optical sensors and surrounding areas clean and free from pet hair and dirt to ensure reliable operation.
• If using a Sure Petcare RFID Collar Tag on a cat, attach it only to a safety collar incorporating a breakaway buckle.

Installation Safety

• Test the pet door with your pet before making permanent alterations to a door, wall or glass panel.
• Make sure your pet can pass comfortably through the opening before installation.
• Do not install the pet door in a fire door, as this may compromise the fire door's intended safety function.
• Do not drill or cut through the tunnel section of the pet door, as it contains electronic components and the microchip reader.
• When using drills, jigsaws or other power tools, follow the tool manufacturer's safety instructions and wear suitable eye and personal protection.
• Professional installation is recommended for glass, metal doors and wall installations where appropriate.

Battery Information

• Power supply: 4 × 1.5 V LR14 alkaline C-cell batteries.
• Use good-quality alkaline batteries from a reputable manufacturer.
• This product is not designed for use with rechargeable batteries.
• Replace all four batteries at the same time.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, different battery types or batteries from different manufacturers.
• Insert the batteries according to the positive (+) and negative (-) polarity markings on the product.
• Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Never short-circuit the battery terminals.
• Incorrect battery installation or use of an incorrect battery type may create a risk of fire or explosion.
• Replace exhausted batteries when the low-battery indicator flashes red.
• Remove exhausted or expired batteries promptly and dispose of them through an appropriate battery collection or recycling service.
• Remove all batteries if the pet door will be stored or left unused for an extended period.
• If a battery leaks, avoid contact with the leaked material. Wear appropriate protective equipment when handling leaking batteries or cleaning residue.
• If battery chemicals come into contact with the skin or eyes, or are ingested, seek appropriate medical advice immediately.

Disposal & Recycling

Do not dispose of the Microchip Pet Door or used batteries with general household waste. Remove the batteries from the product at the end of its useful life and take them separately to an appropriate battery collection or recycling point.

The electronic pet door should be taken to an appropriate electrical and electronic equipment collection or recycling facility, or disposed of through an applicable retailer take-back service.

The crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol indicates that the product must not be disposed of with unsorted household waste.
