Safety Information

• Read and follow the manufacturer's instructions before using the appliance.
• This appliance is designed for domestic use. Do not use it in commercial environments.
• Keep children away from the appliance and do not allow children to play with or around it.
• Always operate the dehumidifier using an earthed plug and a correctly grounded electrical socket.
• Do not operate the appliance if the power cable, plug or unit is damaged.
• Always operate the dehumidifier on a stable, level surface.
• Do not drop, throw or subject the appliance to heavy impact, as damage to internal components or wiring may create a hazardous condition.
• Keep the air inlet clear of curtains, walls and other objects that may restrict airflow. Restricted airflow may cause overheating and create a fire or electrical hazard.
• Keep electrical components dry. If water enters any electrical area of the appliance, do not use it until it has been thoroughly dried and checked where necessary.
• Switch off and unplug the appliance before cleaning or carrying out maintenance.
• Never spray the appliance directly with water.
• Use the appliance within its recommended operating temperature range of 5°C to 35°C.
• Remove the protective plastic bag from the H13 HEPA filter before installing and using the filter.
• Collected condensate must not be consumed. It may only be used for watering non-edible plants where appropriate.

Flammable Refrigerant Safety

• This appliance contains approximately 65 g of R290 refrigerant. R290 is flammable.
• The refrigerant is contained within a sealed system. Do not puncture, open, modify or damage the refrigerant circuit during the appliance's working life or during disposal.
• Do not use or store the appliance in a room smaller than 4 m².
• Do not use the appliance in a room containing continuous sources of ignition such as open flames, gas fires, gas hobs, lit cigarettes or other ignition sources.
• Where the appliance is installed, operated or stored in a non-ventilated area, precautions must be taken to prevent leaked refrigerant from accumulating and creating a fire or explosion hazard.
• R290 refrigerant is odourless and a refrigerant leak may therefore not be detectable by smell.
• If the appliance is damaged, do not use it. Disconnect it from the power supply and contact Meaco or the retailer.
• Always keep the dehumidifier upright and leave it standing upright for at least 6 hours after receipt before switching it on for the first time.
• Work on the refrigerant circuit must only be carried out by appropriately certified personnel competent in handling flammable refrigerants.
• Servicing should only be carried out by a Meaco-approved engineer using appropriate original parts.

Filter & Maintenance Safety

• Always unplug the appliance from the mains before cleaning or maintenance.
• Do not allow the appliance to become wet and never spray it directly with water.
• Clean the reusable dust filter at least once every two weeks during regular use.
• The dust filter may be vacuumed or washed using soapy water no hotter than 40°C. Rinse it and allow it to dry completely before reinstalling it.
• The H13 HEPA filter is not a lifetime filter. Replace it when its colour changes from white to grey, typically approximately every 3 months depending on the operating environment.
• The H13 HEPA filter may be gently vacuumed occasionally to remove surface dust.
• For long-term storage, unplug the appliance, empty the water tank, allow the tank and appliance to dry completely, clean the filters and store the appliance in a dry, dust-free location away from direct sunlight.

Disposal & Recycling

Do not dispose of this electrical appliance with general household waste. At the end of its useful life, take the appliance to an appropriate electrical and electronic equipment collection or recycling facility, or use an applicable retailer take-back service.

Because the appliance contains flammable R290 refrigerant, do not puncture, cut, open or otherwise damage the refrigerant circuit during disposal. The appliance must be handled and recycled in accordance with applicable requirements for equipment containing refrigerant.

WEEE Information

This product is electrical and electronic equipment and must be collected separately at the end of its useful life. The crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol indicates that the appliance and its electrical accessories must not be disposed of with unsorted household waste. Use an appropriate WEEE collection, recycling or retailer take-back service in accordance with applicable local requirements.
