Safety Information

• For indoor use only. Do not use the device outdoors.
• Use the product only within the recommended operating temperature range of 4°C to 40°C and at relative humidity of up to 85%, non-condensing.
• Do not expose the device to excessive humidity or condensation. Humidity above 85% may permanently damage the radon sensor and may affect the display.
• Keep the monitor away from very dusty environments, direct sunlight, windows, doors and ventilation outlets. Maintain approximately 1 metre (3 ft) distance from vents and windows where possible.
• Place the device on a stable surface where it cannot easily be knocked over. When wall mounting, use fixings appropriate for the wall material.
• This product monitors carbon dioxide (CO₂), but does not detect carbon monoxide (CO) or smoke and must not be used as a substitute for an approved smoke alarm or carbon monoxide alarm.
• The View Plus is not designed to provide warnings for immediate health emergencies and does not contain an audible emergency alarm.
• The particulate-matter sensor contains a Class 1 laser. Do not disassemble, modify or attempt to repair the device. Incorrect use, repair or disassembly could result in exposure to invisible infrared laser emissions.
• Servicing should only be carried out by Airthings or an authorised service provider.
• Follow the manufacturer's instructions for installation, operation and maintenance.

Battery Information

• Battery type: 6 × AA LR6 1.5 V alkaline batteries, non-rechargeable.
• Use high-quality alkaline batteries as recommended by Airthings.
• Insert batteries according to the correct positive (+) and negative (-) polarity.
• Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries from different brands.
• Airthings does not recommend rechargeable or lithium batteries for this product, as battery-life indication and device performance may be affected.
• The device may also be powered via USB-C. Batteries installed in the device are not recharged when USB-C power is connected.
• Replace depleted batteries with six new batteries of the same recommended type.
• Periodically check the battery compartment for corrosion or damage.

Disposal & Recycling

Do not dispose of the device or used batteries with general household waste. Remove used batteries from the device and take them to an appropriate battery collection or recycling point. The electrical device should be taken to an authorised collection or recycling facility for waste electrical and electronic equipment.

WEEE Information

This product is electrical and electronic equipment and must be collected separately at the end of its useful life. The crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol indicates that electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with unsorted household waste. Use an appropriate WEEE collection, recycling or retailer take-back service in accordance with local requirements.
